I think it’s a great idea! I guess it would be easier for everyone to join in.
I think that it will help practice “SSS Extensive Writing Method” that Mr Sakai mentioned in his presentation last Saturday.

Hi there, this is K-ko.

It it a very very long interval that I haven't write here.
It was me who suggested to make this board, because there was
no place to use English even though we are learning (enjoying)
English. Some of my foreign friends asked me "then you all
must chat in English when you have a party. It is great!"...
mmmm, not so great, because we all speak only Japanese...
And some of SSS friends wanted to write in English and actually
wrote something on their own as a diary or such like that.
But in fact, it must be nice to have an interactive place I thought,
then, I told it to SSS member at an off-line party.

Well, I haven't feel any responsibility for here because
it seemed there were many SSS friends enjoying writing here.
And I didn't notice how it has been going on this board.

Now Sakai-sensei suggested to accept to write in Japanese
and open this place for all the friends.

バナナさん、I そんなわけで agree with you too!

For example, it is accepted to write 虫食いのように in Japanese
if I am not sure what I should say it in English...でしょ？
ちょっと見づらいかな？　(^^;)

Anyway, the most important for you is to write a lot in English
even though you are not sure, so if you can mix some Japanese
in your writing, it makes you easy!

Oops, I have almost forgotten to write the most important thing
that I wanted to do here.

I have gotten English writing sense with lots of foeign email
friends, and I know some good quality place to look for an email
friend in English. You will see most of people just want to
make a friend for writing in English, and you shouldn't need
to write in perfect English. I was so. I couldn't write even
my introduction, but now, over 5 years past, I can write in English,
not perfect, of course, but I enjoy writing in English now!

こちらもなかなか良いのですが、重いのが難点です。でも、女性が
女性の友達(変な意味じゃなく)を探したい、なんて場合は案外いいかも。
主婦系の人が結構見ているようです。もちろん、異姓からもたくさん
来ますけど(笑) 　国内に住んでいる外国人というより、純粋にペンパル、
海外にいる人を探すのに適してます。
