Re: 同じ本に２ヶ所の“for that matter”

今更ながらですが、今日読み終えた本の中に２ヶ所の
“for that matter”を見つけました。

普段の僕であれば、こんなの気が付かずに通り過ぎてしまうのですが、
一旦気になると、やはり目に付いてしまうものなのでしょうかね。

その本はJeremy Strong著の“Return of Hundred-Mile-An-Hour Dog”
です。

１ヶ所目
p72-73　あるトラブルがきっかけで、ゴルフクラブオーナーの娘Melinda
　　　　に喧嘩を売られている主人公のTrever。そのせいで２人の父親
　　　　同士も険悪なムードに。彼女が彼にかけた一言。

“He doesn't trust you," she said. "Or your dog, or anyone
　　　　 in your family for taht matter. Goodbye."

２ヶ所目
p83-84　これまたあるトラブルに巻き込まれた主人公のTrever（但し、
　　　　今回だけは彼の飼い犬は関係していない）。どんなトラブルか
　　　　は、下の文を見れば予想がつくと思いますが・・・・・・・

　　　　He didn't think much of me and he didn't think didn't think
　　　　much of me and he didn't think much of Sergeant Smugg either.
　　　　‘Call yourself a policeman? Do you really think a young a
policeman? Do you really think a young boy --- or Do you
really think a young boy --- or anyone for that matter ---
would deliberately walk out of a shop with a bra and panties
hanging from their back? Even the guard says it looked odd.
