HUTU and KAWAについて。
作者は、Avis Acres さんです。
www.reed.co.nz で小さいですけど表紙がみられます。
裏表紙にこう書いてあります。

Puhutukawaというのは、ニュージーランドのクリスマスツリーと呼ばれている木
で、クリスマスに赤い花を咲かせます。ニュージーランドは、西洋人がくるまで
鳥を襲う動物がいなかったので、キーウィなどの飛べない鳥が暮らしていました。 （キーウィという名は、おすの鳴き声からつけられたそうです。）
ほかにも、珍しい鳥や、妖精もでてきます。
