Hallo, everybody, みききです。It's nice to know you all and good to be here. Sorry I'm not good in 日本語, so I have to type English. but reading is no big problem for me, and I would answer in japanese if I can.
I’m first here to report my extensive reading of French. My aim is that oneday I “can” read “ le comte de Monte-Cristo” with speed of 120 words/m.
Now I have done about 360,000 words. My speed is only 60-80 words/minute, I don’t know if that I had chose too difficult books for me. Now I guess I have learned about more than 3,000 vocabularies. The books I have read are followings:

1, petit Nicolas series: I think it’s easier, I should read more of them later.
-les vacances du petit Nicolas:my first completed book! I finished it in March this year, when I had about 2,000 vocabularies. I had tried to read it when I had only 1,000 vocabularies, and I gave it up very quickly. So I was so happy wenn I could finish it.

2, Le Club des Cinq series: it’s originated from English litterature “the famous five”, I love the story, so I choose to read its French version without having read the English version. But after I finished 4 of them, I think it’s too hard for me, so I stop to read “la cabane magique”. But now I read 1 more of them.(ps. I’ve bought all the serie, 21 books, I bought half of them in old version second-hand books, because they have illustrations and it’s important for reading. )

-le club des cinq en vacances
-le club des cinq et le cirque de l'etoile

3, la cabane magique series(Magic Tree House):I felt it easy at first, but I think it not so easy later, because in every new advanture we have to learn the new vocabularies about the new world of knowledge, but I think it helpful to get slow down and to combine the feeling of words and the meaning. Now I have read 19 of them.They are great books, and with many illustrations.

4,Picture books for children: I’ve read 14 different children books.

5,Learning by ear: It’s radio-programm, we can learn the dialogue and many themes about modern life in Africa, I think it helpful for reading news, each complete story contain about 10,000 words, and you get mp3 to listen! Et elles sont tres vivantes et interessantes!

But anyway,sometimes I still feel frustrated about my reading speed. I don’t know if it right, I just choose what I like to read and can read.

I watch almost everyday the movie with French version. And I’d like to recommend you to listen some beautiful songs from the movie“raiponce”:

C’est mignonne, non? I think these songs in French version is more beautiful than the other language versions I’ve listened.
And I believe, choose the books with many illustrations, it helps a lot.
