Moring-san, thank you for your kind response! 〉In fact, I just had overed 1 million words on Tadoku-Reading at Jan 8th. I just read your 1 million report. Congratulations! I am so proud of you! You read over 400 books. It's really amazing. And so many people are very happy for you. You are quite popular. I envy you. I want to catch up with you in the near future. 〉You are a good mother( or father?). Oh, I am her mother. Good news. She has started her extensive reading by listening ORT CDs. My girl is a teen-aged kid. So I do not want to patronize her too much. But I think she needs some encouragement at least at the beginning. 〉Are they? I have one Jacqueline Wilson's book. But I have not read it yet. Yesterday I just finished "The Suitcase Kid" by J. Wilson. It touched my heart. After reading I had a lump in my throat. I blew my nose several times. It is a story of ten-year-old girl named Andy, shuttling between the new two families of her divorced parents. She has to adjust herself to totally new environment: new two houses, new step parents, and new brothers and sisters.(One of them is so mean!) The mascot rabbit RADISH is her only comfort. She wants to go back to her old house so badly. Healing takes time. No instant solution. But a wonderful thing is children can grow out of such heartbreaking difficulties. Thank you again, Moring-san. Happy reading!
