はじめて！

Hi!

I hope it's OK if I write in English. I'm learning Japanese, but I'm still very bad at it. (Actually, I'm using 多読 to study Japanese, but I'm still a beginner!)

I'm an English teacher. I live in the USA, in the San Francisco Bay Area. I work as a private instructor. Most of my students are adults from Japan.

I really support SSS/多読/"extensive reading." I learned about extensive reading during my master's degree program. Dr. Stephen Krashen's book _The Power of Reading_ really impressed me. I'm also on the Extensive Reading mailing list.

I have two blogs right now. One is for English teachers (www.talktotheclouds.com) and the other one is for English learners (www.readableblog.com). Soon I'm going to start a new, easy blog for Japanese people who are learning English.
